Quick one on Bruce

I picked up The Promise by the Boss and actually liked it a little better than Darkness on the Edge of Town. Strange, right? Actually, my favorite Bruce album by a longshot is Nebraska. I love the bleak, acoustic feel and the legendary lock-yourself-in-a-hotel-until-its-done story about it. I mean, Ashbury Park is so full of spit and vinegar, Born to Run just blows one down the road, and Nebraska is sublime. I guess I am a bit strange ‘cos I know lots of folks prefer The River and Darkness. Newbies go for Born in the USA. But old me, I could just listen to Nebraska for like weeks on end…until the headlights fade across the county line….
