I went a little nuts over the last two months “Like”-ing Facebook Pages left and right. Mostly I did this for the humoristic posts – you know the post card ones with some 50’s-ish picture on the right and some sarcastic phrase on the left? Well, I am just really annoyed at all the stupid, pithy animal photos with stupid, sentimental phrases associated with them. Unfortunately, some of the sites that post those also post funny things so I am too lazy to unLike them. All the crapola about “check out this wonderful room/vacation spot/whatever” is highly aggravating as well but again, too lazy to go through a whole “unLike” phase. Anyone else go through these kinds of existential Facebook crises or is it just me? Its like, I get loads of interesting things on there like new music, news, political commentary, and so forth, but there is such an array of useless and almost insultingly idiotic information mixed in that it is not a wholly satisfactory experience…anyway, off to read some more Melville.
